Technical Tester (m/f/x)

Luxcargo Handling, based at Luxembourg Airport, is a handling company specializing in air freight. Founded in 2023, the company took over the Cargo Handling branch of Luxair and employs 1000 people in various roles.

Luxcargo Handling S.A. is a subsidiary of the Cargolux group, fully owned by Cargolux Airlines International S.A.

For our LCH IT department within LCH, we are looking for a:

Technical Tester (m/f/x)

Missions:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for various applications to ensure high-quality software delivery
• Perform integration testing to validate the interaction between different systems and components, ensuring seamless functionality
• Provide application support as part of an Application Support Team providing 24/7 support by troubleshooting issues, analyzing defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve problems efficiently
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Conduct manual testing as needed to complement automated testing efforts and ensure thorough coverage
• Monitor and report on testing progress, results, and defects using appropriate tools and methodologies
• Continuously improve testing processes and practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in testing and automation
• Creating relevant documentation such as test plans or applications instructions

Profile:

Minimum qualifications required for the position

• Be holder of a bachelor or engineer degree in IT (Bac +3) or similar
• Proven experience in automation testing using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks
• Strong knowledge of integration testing methodologies and tools
• Experience in application support and troubleshooting in a software development environment
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Experience in tools such as DevOps
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred
• Show excellent communication skills in French and English

Education and other required qualifications

• Familiarity with monitoring tools to track application performance and detect issues.
• Show a strong ability to communicate at all levels, both inside and outside the company
• Demonstrate a good sense of urgency and priorities
• Flexible and willing to learn and evolve from legacy systems to new target application landscape
• Show basic knowledge of the ITIL Framework
• Be able to deliver results within defined timeframe
• Maintain the strict confidentiality of the data.

Relevant skills and qualifications

• Knowledge of any other language is considered as asset
• Knowledge of IATA air cargo processes and environment is considered as an asset
• Knowledge of Oracle Forms Developer is an asset
• Skills in Business Analysis is an asset
