Our client, an international investment manager, is looking for a Financial accountant for a 6 months (minimum) temporary contract for its Luxembourg office.

In this role, the candidate is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records for legal entities and is in charge of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing of accounts. Additionally, he handle external reporting to headquarters, regulators and government authorities.

The candidate perform balance sheet reconciliations, support the Group Tax team in meeting tax compliance requirements by country and entity. Furthermore, you provide financial data and analysis to support business decision-making, acting as the liaison for all third-party matters, including auditors and tax consultants.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or auditing, with a solid understanding of local GAAP and IFRS. Strong proficiency in Excel is essential with experience using ORACLE or SAP. Fluency in English is mandatory, good knowledge of French is a strong asset.
He is focused on quality and timely delivery, demonstrating integrity and accountability. He should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Strong analytical skills and a high affinity for numbers are necessary, along with excellent organisational abilities to provide timely and accurate financial commentary.
A good understanding of tax compliance, including international VAT and transfer pricing. Experience in the asset management sector is also a plus.
