Our client is currently looking for a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as an Audit Coordination Officer. This role is integral to the smooth running of our audit and evaluation assignments, and the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work on specific internal control projects.
Key responsibilities :
- Coordinating audit/evaluation assignments in terms of planning, timing, and organisation.
- Ensuring a coordinated approach for audit missions run by external and internal auditors, Member States, and the European Commission.
- Proactively following up on all audit issues and ensuring that audit recommendations are implemented in a timely and efficient manner.
- Participating in the establishment of special internal control reports and gathering information from different departments.
- Ensuring the smooth running of each project.
- A university degree, preferably at a postgraduate level, in Finance/Economics/Accounting. A professional qualification (e.g., CIA) would be considered an advantage.
- Between 2 and 5 years of strong professional experience, ideally gained in external audit or internal control within a leading international audit firm or the banking/financial industry.
- Good understanding of the financial market and operational risk aspects. Knowledge of Private Equity, Structured Finance, and/or EU policies (e.g., structural funds, state aid) would be an advantage.
- Good IT Skills.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken. A good command of French and/or other EU languages would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle complex issues.
- Good organisation skills.
- The ability to analyse, summarise, and present information.
- Flexibility to take on new tasks.
- Team player.
- Qualities of impartiality and perseverance are essential.
