Our client is a famous institution located in Kirchberg in Luxembourg. They are looking for a Data Governance Officer for a temporary contract.
The candidate is working in a team and reporting directly to the Head of Unit, the successful candidate contributes to the development of the Unit and Division's goal by notably being a point of contact across the Institution. The job requires a constant interface with internal services within the organisation.
Responsibilities :
Depending on experience, the successful candidate assumes the following responsibilities and/or leads or contributes to the following processes:
- Act as data lead on a defined set of (existing and new) Investment Office data points, developing a detailed understanding of their lineage and usage across the organization.
- Establish and implement relevant data quality controls and analyzes
- Maintain a detailed understanding of upcoming internal system developments with a view to ensuring robust implementation from a data flow and data governance perspective.
- In the area of data analysis and data queries, intervene as needed to provide support to internal counterparts
- Identify ways to enhance or improve data storage, retrieval and analysis tools to support the institution's transition to a data-driven organization.
- Support other team members, as needed and to the extent relevant, in relation to associated activities, particularly in the area of modeling and projections.
Qualifications :
- University degree in Finance, Economics. Engineering or business administration (preferably at post-graduate level), a combination of the above an added advantage ;
- Relevant experience of at least 3 years in the financial sector, ideally with direct responsibilities in data processing and/or data governance; or excellent technical understanding and enthusiasm for the subject ;
- Prior experience with all or part of eFront, DAMS, Tableau, Alteryx and Python, or demonstrable ability to acquire such expertise quickly ;
- Previous experience in data mining, data manipulation and analysis, data governance, systems development and/or systems maintenance would be an advantage ;
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU languages would be considered an advantage.
