The Engineer Flight Operations Technical Development is in charge of the following:
- Be the focal point of flight operations for cybersecurity matters
- Assist the management in Part-IS implementation and compliance with any cybersecurity standards or regulation
- Assist and contribute to the Flight Operations e-enabling efforts
- Maintain and administer the Electronic Flight Bags installed on Cargolux fleet
- Participate in the maintenance and development of cost efficient aircraft connectivity
- Promote innovation, initiate system / functionality improvement projects
- Lead or participate in (digital) operations projects
- Participate in the continuous improvement of flight operations systems and processes
- Review and optimize interaction between Aircraft systems and Flt. Ops Systems
Essential Requirements For The Position:
- Master degree (preferred) or Bachelor degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Experience in the aviation industry in the field of Avionics Engineering, EFB Administration, Aircraft IT or Flight Operations will be considered as an advantage
- Strong cybersecurity or IT background, ideally in Mobile Information and Communication Technology
- Willingness to learn new skills (flight operations, regulation…)
- Basic understanding of regulatory requirements related to airline operations will be an advantage
Working Conditions:
- Permanent, full-time position based in our HQ in Luxembourg.
- Working days Monday-Friday.
- A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection.
