The Engineer Flight Operations Technical Development is in charge of the following:

• Be the focal point of flight operations for cybersecurity matters
• Assist the management in Part-IS implementation and compliance with any cybersecurity standards or regulation
• Assist and contribute to the Flight Operations e-enabling efforts
• Maintain and administer the Electronic Flight Bags installed on Cargolux fleet
• Participate in the maintenance and development of cost efficient aircraft connectivity
• Promote innovation, initiate system / functionality improvement projects
• Lead or participate in (digital) operations projects
• Participate in the continuous improvement of flight operations systems and processes
• Review and optimize interaction between Aircraft systems and Flt. Ops Systems

Essential Requirements For The Position:

• Master degree (preferred) or Bachelor degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
• Experience in the aviation industry in the field of Avionics Engineering, EFB Administration, Aircraft IT or Flight Operations will be considered as an advantage
• Strong cybersecurity or IT background, ideally in Mobile Information and Communication Technology
• Willingness to learn new skills (flight operations, regulation…)
• Basic understanding of regulatory requirements related to airline operations will be an advantage

Working Conditions:

• Permanent, full-time position based in our HQ in Luxembourg. 
• Working days Monday-Friday.
• A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection.
