We are very happy to assist this fiduciary represented by a very dynamic and open-minded team of 30 people in its search for a Head of Accounting.
This structure offers many services to its clients including accounting, tax and fund administration services. The team is characterized by its multiculturality first of all, but also the fact that the team members are very dynamic. Although the team is composed of junior accountants up to manager, the fiduciary is currently looking for someone at the top of the team, who will implement structure and organization, and who the team can look up to.
The offices are located in a nice area of the city that is easily accessible both by public transport, as it is a short walk from the Luxembourg Train station, and by car, with many shops and restaurants around for you to enjoy your lunch break, while avoiding the most hectic and stressful areas of the city. The close proximity of the Luxembourg railway station is ideal for anyone who wants to commute by train or public transport as well.
With a client base that has naturally grown over the years thanks to word of mouth, they assist financial clients including Alternative Investment Funds, SPV, Securitization vehicles and SOPARFI.
This opportunity is really ideal for someone who is looking to bring his or her acquired knowledge to a human-sized company, and where you will be listened to and allowed to make decisions to improve the fiduciary’s daily operations.
Your Responsibilities | Head of Accounting – Fiduciary – Accountant – Finance - Accounting
- As Head of Accounting, you are in charge of ensuring that the clients are satisfied and the files are handled correctly by the accountants.
- As it is important to work efficiently within the team, you analyze the internal processes and implement new ones to make sure that the work is well divided and handled.
- You are responsible for guiding and coordinating the members of your team, having all levels of experience, from junior to manager. Furthermore, you will be actively involved in growing the team, and making sure that relevant trainings are offered to those who need it. You also participate in the recruitment and evaluation process.
- As Head of Accounting, you will also participate in implementing and respecting processes that ensure the day-to-day smooth operations of the team. For example, it is important to make sure that not too many members work from home or are on holidays at the same time.
- You will report directly to the Partners of the structure on the evolution within the team.
Profile and Career Path | Head of Accounting – Fiduciary – Accountant – Finance - Accounting
- You have 10 years of experience or more within accounting, more specifically in a fiduciary, a a Big Four or a PFS in Luxembourg. We are looking for a candidate who is currently already Senior Manager, Head of Accounting or Director.
- In terms of technical skills, you have acquired excellent knowledge of the Investment fund industry.
- You have a fluent level of French and English, both verbally and in writing.
- For this position, it is very important that you are able to adopt a human approach with each member of your team and personalize your approach in function of their own skills and experience.
- It is also an added plus if you have been exposed to corporate/legal tasks in the past.
- You are also very dynamic, have managerial skills that less experienced members look up to and you have acquired strong organizational skills.
- Furthermore, although you are approachable and kind, you are also strong enough to show authority.

- For this role, you will be rewarded with an excellent salary up to €120.000 gross per year, which will depend on your level of experience and expertise. In addition to this, you can add meal vouchers, a generous annual bonus and the opportunity to significantly increase your salary by taking on paid directorship mandates.
