Job Description

The Event Specialist supports the Events team in the design, organization and implementation of events and sponsorships that promote KPMG’s reputation and business opportunities in the market.

The Event Specialist must have a natural service–oriented mindset, enjoy and excel in interacting with people from different backgrounds, have an ability to handle stressful situations and work under pressure, be active listener and have outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.

What you will be working on

Event organization and execution:

• Project managing live and virtual events (e.g. webinars, hybrid events), including communicating efficiently with stakeholders, the Event Team Leader and external vendors
• Adhering to existing policies and procedures including risk and procurement
• Researching speakers, promotional items, locations and decorations
• Drafting invitations and reviewing for accuracy and quality
• Reviewing conference presentations for accuracy and quality
• Event promotion on KPMG intranet and KPMG Event Website
• Social Media promotion as required
• Develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets and logistics
• Source and negotiate with vendors, including venues, caterers, entertainment
• Handling all logistics
• Attending onsite events and greeting guests, supervising the execution of the event, ensuring quality and issue resolution (presentation, audio, lights)

Ensures outstanding client experience by capturing and evaluating KPI’s, including seeking attendee feedback, post-event analysis, client debriefs and integrating best practices.

Building an outstanding client experience:

• Welcoming 5 star experience during events
• Ensure visible branding during events, roadshows, conferences by providing promotional and go to market materials
• Managing the stock of KPMG promotional items and conference materials, as well as branded rollup-banner
• Continuous improvement of the client experience across all touchpoints in line with KPMG policy.

What we look for

• Education requirements: Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field. Other working experience in or alternative studies related client service and event/project management can be also relevant for this job
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required
• Fluency in English, additional languages such as French or German are an added value
