Process Engineer – CFD Simulations (m/f/d)

Focused on the development and implementation of cutting-edge new technologies of decarbonization and plant optimization in the field of ironmaking you will join the Process & Technology department.

Your main tasks:

• Simulate the impact of new CO2 abatement technologies on existing processes of the ironmaking
• To study the hydrogen impact in the processes of ironmaking
• Making use of modelling and simulation to improve the flexibility of our technology

What do we expect?

• Master or PhD with background in metallurgical or chemical engineering
• Fluent in English and German, any other language is an advantage
• Knowledge in OpenFOAM and advanced programming skills
• Extended knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics
• Experience with CFD simulation methods, especially with respect to turbulence, heat transfer, combustion and two-phase flows
• More than 5 years of industrial practice in simulation tasks
