Job Description
We are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Assistant Manager/Manager for the Investment Fund/Asset Management Industry
As the regulatory landscape in Investment Fund and Asset Management Industry continues to evolve, our firm's Advisory department plays a pivotal role in guiding clients through the complexities of governance and regulatory compliance. We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team at the Assistant Manager/Manager level.
What you will be working on
- Keep abreast of and report on emerging regulatory requirements in the Asset Management and Alternative Investments space.
- Support clients in conducting Compliance Risk Mapping or Assessment exercises, ensuring a thorough understanding of potential risks.
- Review and analyze compliance documentation and procedures of Asset Management/Alternative Investment clients, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
- Evaluate the Compliance Risk framework, including a detailed analysis of policies, procedures, controls, and systems to ensure compliance with both local and global regulatory requirements.
- Organize and deliver training sessions on regulatory topics to enhance the knowledge and awareness of both internal teams and clients.
- Develop a robust technical understanding of Asset Management/Alternative Investment regulations, operations, and their interdisciplinary connections with other industries.
What we look for
- Master's degree in Law, Economy, Business Administration, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of the ManCo/AIFM "eco-system."
- Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in Regulatory Compliance, with a strong track record of navigating complex regulatory environments.
- Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proven expertise in leadership and people management, with a strong ability to mentor and motivate team members.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Executive presence with clients.
- A team player with a positive attitude, autonomy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French or German is an asset.
