To support its ongoing development and enforce its IT team, Cebi International S.A. is recruiting an :

IT System Engineer Junior (m/f)

Your mission:

• Microsoft Windows servers administration and support
• Linux servers administration and support
• Update a worldwide scaled x86 system infrastructure basing on a patch management plan. Including the coordination, planning, and delivery
• Update of IBM Power server systems
• Administration of a wide scaled modern full virtualized hyper-converged environment (VMware/Nutanix)
• SAN Storage administration (based on IBM and Brocade)
• Maintain a large Virtual Desktop environment (VDI Horizon)
• Ensure the IT infrastructure compliance against defined security policies
• Administration and follow-up of the backup infrastructure (Commvault)
• Perform Disaster Recovery operations along with a plan and maintaining this plan
• Replace/coordinate the replacement of faulty hardware components
• Along with your personal evolution, manage technical projects to maintain, replace, enhance the various group system elements
• Perform scripting to automatize what is possible
• Understand the basic principles of networking and security principles
• Contribute to the active monitor of the systems and related alerts
• Be a second level engineering escalation point for the Service Desk team
• Provide support and guidance to local IT coordinators
• Sporadic, 1week, short onsite projects in our local plants over Europe, South America, China (can be 1-3/year or none).
• Document and report your work

Your profile:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science
• 2-3 year’s experience in a similar position is a nice to have
• Any certification in mainstream infrastructure technologies is also a plus
• You are committed to understand how “it” works
• Hence, you are not afraid not understanding something. On the opposite you take it as a challenge
• Highly motivated you never give up on any technical issue. The more it “resists”, the more you want to resolve it
• You have an open, humble and “wanting to learn” oriented mindset
• You present excellent communication skills
• You like to share what you learn with others
• You appreciate working alone but also as part of a member of a team, in collaboration with others
• You are calm and resistant to stress. You present an assertive and, most importantly, positive attitude
• You have a good understanding of the essence from standards like ITIL
• You are fluent in French and have good working knowledge in English
