Task Responsibilities:

  • Development, implementation and management of emergency / crisis processes and procedures to comply with IOSA, ICAO, EASA and recommended practices and standards and company requirements;

  • Development, implementation of an organization wide Business Continuity Plan focused on the tasks of the AOC and coordinated with the corporate Business Continuity Plan;
  • Monitoring of system-wide implementation and compliance, of emergency / crisis processes;
  • Oversight for the design, development and delivery of all required training programs;
  • Management and liaison between departments to ensure preparedness and compliance;
  • Research, review and evaluation of external source materials
  • Ensure all programs are integrated with Group Member Airlines, Wet Lease and ACMI Partners;
  • Directs the development and operation of the Emergency Response and Go Team;
  • Ensures emergency operations preparedness of Cargolux areas and stations including coordination of Emergency Response planning with local authorities and airports;
  • Develops and conducts company-wide drills to test the developed procedures
  • Develop the Headquarter Control Centre

Essential Requirements For The Position:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Aviation Safety, Aviation Management, Emergency Management, Disaster Management or equivalent

  • At least 5 years of working experience in an aviation safety related position
  • Advantage if trained and qualified in Emergency Response / Business Continuity topics
  • Previous Experience in Emergency Response / Business Continuity tasks
  • Have training and/or experience with Airline Safety Management Systems
  • Results-oriented person with strong delivery focus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels
  • Ability for analytical thinking and problem-solving
  • Experience writing manuals / guidance material
  • Excellent Presentation Skills
  • Detail conscious
  • Highly organized with the ability to organize own workload
  • Ability to work creatively and apply defined systems of work
  • Proactive and enthusiastic

  • Be willing to undertake any training necessary to keep on top of current employment legislation

Working Conditions:

  • Position based in Luxembourg
  • Frequent travel (with little notice) required within the entire Cargolux network
  • Stand-by or on call may be required
  • A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection
  • Reporting to the Accountable Manager of Cargolux
