Service Owner - Development Platform

Job Description

As a Service Owner (m/f), you will lead the development and management of a crucial development platform that will be utilized by hundreds of developers within a public administration context.

Your responsability:

  • Develop a clear and compelling vision for the development platform
  • Formulate and execute a strategic roadmap that outlines the evolution of the platform over time
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including developers, project managers, and business analysts
  • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to implementation and maintenance.
  • Work closely with development teams to prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on business value and impact
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure the platform provides an intuitive and user-friendly experience for developers
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback
  • Develop and maintain a release schedule, coordinating with development and operations teams to ensure smooth and timely releases
  • Implement effective communication strategies to inform users about upcoming releases and changes
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the platform and regularly monitor and report on its performance
  • Collaborate with security experts to ensure the platform adheres to industry best practices and complies with relevant regulations
  • Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure a secure development environment
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for developers, including user guides, API documentation, and best practices

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Service Owner in a similar context
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with public administration processes and requirements is a plus
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in any other European language is a plus.
  • Strong experience in containerization, with a proven track record of effectively leveraging containerization technologies to enhance software development and deployment processes
