Does anyone know a career advisor in Luxembourg?

I’ve spent 27 years in the financial sector in operations. The last 20 years as an AML/KYC analyst ( last 15 years at senior level).

I speak fluent French. Basic Luxembourgish and German.

Approaching 50 years old, I’d like to know what i need to enter an HR role?

FYI - Prior to Luxembourg i had various roles in horesca and as a postman ( UK Scotland). So, altogether , 33 years of being employed!

Many thanks

Hi,

I've heard good things about the career coach Stephane Brun in Luxembourg, but I've never needed his services myself.

Concerning your job search in HR, I think your financial skills may be in your best interest, but not for sure. What is the job you are currently looking for? Recruiter?

Hi,

Many thanks for that.

A change in career has been on my mind for a couple of years now. But from a personal aspect I was unable to make the move. Until now.

I’ve had a few ex-colleagues in the past in the same line of business as me switching to Business Partner HR. From what I’ve understood from them it is the “human” aspect that’s rewarding. Helping the company find and retain the best people and also the “supporting/coaching “ aspect.

Yes, ideally, an HR job in the financial sector would be suitable but I’m open to all suggestions. Working whilst helping people and employer moving forward is my main interest on what I would like to do.

Dear Members,

I'm in the same case as MooviMember836878, i spent 22 years in the financial sector and since May 2020. I'm now 42 years old and i'm trying to seeking for a new challenge but due to the covid , the recruitments within operations are quite slow. I'm approaching the end of my financial helps, so difficult to make a conversion in the current condition. I was thinking also more a social environment as i'm a emphatic person when i was Manager, i enjoy team work and inspiring people.

Any comments are welcome

Regards,

Jerry

Hi Jerry !

Where do you live exactly ? As the situation is quite complicated at the moment, maybe you can follow a training course ? In management field, there are different school proposing different kind of Mba (management for example). It might be very interesting and I've heard very good things about it, you can go and check online here : https://www.icn-artem.com/en/.
I saw some are online like : https://lecolefrancaise.fr/formation-management/,
https://executive.em-lyon.com/Formations/Diplomes/PGMONLINE-Executive-Master-Management-General-Online
https://reskilling.orsys.fr/candidats

I hope this will help you

Regards,

Laura
